Always Save 10 Divine Orbs: A Rule That Saved My League Start

Повідомлення DreamingTide »

When I first started the new league in Path of Exile 2, I had no idea how much saving 10 Divine Orbs would change my experience. It sounds simple, maybe even too simple—but this small rule turned out to be the best financial strategy I’ve ever followed in any ARPG. In this article, I’ll share why this works, how it helps your early- to mid-game progress, and how it connects with smarter ways to manage PoE 2 currency.

In the early stages of a league, Divine Orbs are one of the most valuable currencies in the game. They’re used to reroll modifiers on rare items, but more importantly, they act as the main trading unit among players. When you save 10 Divine Orbs early on, you give yourself flexibility. For example, if a high-end unique drops on trade early in the league, you can grab it without having to farm for hours or sell dozens of lower-tier currencies like Chaos Orbs or Orbs of Regret.

What most players don’t realize is that by the time you hit endgame mapping, Divine Orbs are often the “currency of opportunity.” Want to buy a six-linked chest? Want to pick up a pair of +2 amulet bases? These trades are usually priced in Divine Orbs. If you didn’t save up earlier, you’re left scrambling, trying to convert other currencies, and often losing value through bad trade ratios.

So how do you save these Divine Orbs effectively without slowing down your progression? First, avoid spending them on minor crafts or low-impact upgrades. In the early game, use more common currency like Alchemy Orbs, Chaos Orbs, and Essences to craft your gear. You can also focus on farming areas that are known for good currency returns, like Delve, Heist, or high-juice Expedition zones. These areas drop lots of PoE 2 currency and are perfect for stacking value over time.

Also, never ignore the importance of smart trading. Early in the league, buy PoE 2 currency when prices are lower, especially from reliable marketplaces. I personally used U4GM and got exactly what I needed fast and safely. A small investment there helped me grab those 10 Divine Orbs much quicker. Later on, I even sold a few extra currencies at a profit once the market shifted.

Another great tip is to convert your excess Chaos Orbs into Divine Orbs during the first 3-5 days of the league. This is when Chaos-to-Divine rates are most favorable. Keep an eye on trade sites or community Discords to monitor the exchange rates. If you act early, 150–170 Chaos Orbs might get you one Divine. Later in the league, that rate might shoot up to 300 or more.

Here are a few currencies worth farming in PoE 2 for steady gains:

Essence: Great for crafting and easy to farm early on.

Fossils: Drop frequently in Delve and sell well to crafters.

Divine Orbs: Obviously, the key target. Save and trade for long-term gain.

Ancient Orbs: Good for gambling certain uniques, which can be profitable early league.

In summary, always saving 10 Divine Orbs gives you control. It keeps you ready for the market, opens up key build-defining items early, and sets you up for long-term success. If you’re struggling with your league start, try this method. Be smart with your PoE 2 currency, farm efficiently, trade wisely, and when in doubt, don’t hesitate to buy PoE 2 currency from trusted sources like U4GM to give yourself a head start.
